Pearl is an American rock band . The group's founder, namesake and singer is Pearl Aday .

background

Pearl Aday is the daughter of the singer Meat Loaf and as a result grew up listening to music. In 1994 she was a background singer on the tour for the album Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell . She also accompanied her father on the following tour, which began in 1996, before becoming a permanent member of his companion band "Neverland Express" in 1998. She also sang on the band Mötley Crüe's New Tattoo tour and can be seen on the subsequently released DVD Lewd, Crued, and Tattooed . In 2003 she sang the duet "Man of Steel" with her father on his album Couldn't Have Said It Better .

Her band was formed on Aday's 29th birthday when Scott Ian introduced her to the members of the group Mother Superior , who played as a backing band for Henry Rollins , Daniel Lanois and others. Aday asked the musicians what they would think of playing with a woman, and interest was piqued. In 2004 Aday began working on his first songs with guitarist Jim Wilson and bassist Marcus Blake .

The group recorded their first demo CD at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles . After Mother Superior a Europe - tour had completed and then were back, walked the group, amplified by Scott Ian, the studio and recorded with producer Joe Barresi ( Tool , Queens of the Stone Age , Bad Religion ), the debut album Little Immaculate White Fox which was released in 2010.

On October 6th and 9th, 2009, the band played as opening act for Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger ( The Doors ) at two concerts in Los Angeles and Anaheim ; from August 12 to September 5, 2010, she played in the opening act for Meat Loaf .

In 2012 Pearl released a live CD before recording a new studio album in 2014. It will be titled Heartbreak and Canyon Revelry and appear in spring 2015. Guitarist Philip Sayce and keyboardist Fred Mandel also took part in the recordings .
