Pearl Aday (* 1975 ) is an American musician and singer . She is married to guitarist Scott Ian , who is a member of the band Anthrax , and is the adopted daughter of singer Meat Loaf , who adopted her when he married her mother, Leslie G. Edmonds in 1979. She has a half-sister, Amanda Aday, who was born in 1981. Pearl Aday has been the mother of a son named Revel Young Ian since June 2011.

Career

Aday attended Emerson College in Boston ( Massachusetts ) with a focus on "creative writing", but shortly thereafter began a musical career.

In 1994 she was the background singer on the Meat Loaf tour for the album Bat out of Hell II: Back Into Hell . She also accompanied her father on the following tour, which began in 1996, before becoming a permanent member of his companion band Neverland Express in 1998. In 2003 she sang the duet Man of Steel with her father on the album Couldn't Have Said It Better . The track was released as a single in the UK

Pearl Aday also sang on Mötley Crüe's New Tattoo tour and can be seen on the subsequently released DVD Lewd, Crued, and Tattooed . She now has her own band, Pearl.

Pearl

Aday is currently the singer in her band Pearl . The group includes guitarists Scott Ian and Jim Wilson, bassist Marcus Blake and drummer Matt Tecu. In March 2008, Pearl was the support act for Velvet Revolver on their tour of the UK. Her debut album entitled Little Immaculate White Fox was recorded in 2009 and was released in 2010 on Megaforce Records . It contained a cover version of the Ike & Tina Turner song Nutbush City Limits , and Ted Nugent played guitar on the song Check Out Charlie .

Motor sister

On Ian's 50th birthday in December 2013, Pearl Aday played a set of twelve songs by the band Mother Superior with him, John Tempesta (including The Cult ), Joey Vera ( Armored Saint , Fates Warning ) and Jim Wilson (Mother Superior) . This performance gave birth to the band Motor Sister , which released their debut album on March 6, 2015.
