Peji (also Peji Villa Arrien ) is a town in the Santa Cruz department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Peji is a central place in the canton of Peji in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) La Guardia in the province of Andrés Ibáñez . The municipality is located at an altitude of 480  m in the wide alluvial plain, which has been created by the Río Piraí (25 km) in the west and the Río Grande (35 km) in the east. The closest village is Pedro Lorenzo at a distance of four kilometers west of Peji. To the east at a distance of about six kilometers is the Lomas de Arena dune area, a shifting dune and lake area designated by the IUCN as a landscape protection area.
