Peter Bruun (* 1979 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish jazz musician ( drums , percussion , composition ).

Live and act

Bruun started taking music lessons at the age of three and turned to drums at an early age. At the age of 18 he began his studies at the Rytmisk Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. From the 2000s he worked in the Danish and international jazz scene in the formations Mold , Buffalo Age (album 2007, with Chris Speed , Kasper Tranberg , Nils Davidsen ), in the Trio WBZ (with Jesper Zeuthen , Jonas Westergaard ), in Simon Toldam ORKestra STORK, in the big band Little Red Big Bang and in the trio of Django Bates , with whom he recorded three albums. In 2013 he released his debut album Unintended Consequences (ILK Music), on which Eivind Lønning , Torben Snekkestad , Søren Kjærgaard and Jonas Westergaard had collaborated. In the field of jazz he was involved in 16 recording sessions between 2000 and 2014. With his band project Peter Bruun's All Too Human (with Kasper Tranberg, trumpet, cornet, Marc Ducret , guitar and Simon Toldam, synthesizer) he recorded the album Vernacular Avant-garde ( Ayler Records , 2018).
