Peter Ottenbruch

Peter Ottenbruch (born October 2, 1957 in Vorst , Viersen district ) is a German mechanical engineer and manager . From January 2011 he was Chief Technology Officer at ZF Friedrichshafen AG . From April 2013 to December 2014 he was Chairman of the Management Board at ZF Lenksysteme GmbH .

Life

Ottenbruch was born as the first child of the Krefeld- based civil engineer Herbert Ottenbruch and his wife Annemarie. From 1958 he lived for nine months at the construction site of the Rourkela steelworks in India , in the construction of which his father helped. In 1961 the family moved to Essen , where he spent his further childhood and youth. From 1964 he attended the Käthe-Kollwitz-Grundschule in Essen-Rüttenscheid and the Steinbach-Grundschule in Essen-Haarzopf . In 1967 he moved to the Alfred Krupp School in Essen-Frohnhausen , where he worked in 1976General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) obtained.

Since January 2007 he has been a member of the management team at ZF Friedrichshafen AG , Powertrain and Chassis Components division , and Chairman of the Board of Management of ZF Sachs AG.

From January 2011, Peter Ottenbruch was appointed to the Central Board of ZF Friedrichshafen AG as Chief Technology Officer . In December 2012 his change as managing director to ZF Lenksysteme GmbH was announced. After the complete takeover by Robert Bosch GmbH , he left the management of ZF Lenksysteme GmbH.

Ottenbruch is married.
