Peter Spary
Peter Spary (born March 12, 1940 in Beuthen , Upper Silesia ) is a German association functionary and lobbyist .
Life
After his Abitur at Neusprachliches high school in 1960 in Bottrop Spary studied until 1964 at the Philosophical and at the Law and Political Science Faculty of the University of Saarland and at the Law and Political Science Faculty of the University of Innsbruck . After graduating as an economist in Innsbruck (grade awarded) in May 1964, he received his doctorate magna cum laude in 1967 as Dr. rer. oec. in Innsbruck . He has been married to Helga Spary, nee Hager, since August 1964 and has two grown daughters with her (born in 1965 and 1969).
Spary began his professional career in Bonn in 1964 as a research assistant at the Society for the Study of Structural Policy Issues. V. and was from 1967 to 1990 managing director of the medium- sized business group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group and from 1975 to 1990 also managing director of the medium-sized business association of the CDU / CSU. In addition to his role as managing partner of the Mittelstands-Verlagsgesellschaft between 1975 and 1993, he was also a lecturer in economic policy at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia in Aachen from 1974 to 1984 . From 1990 to 2001 Spary was General Manager of the Federal Association of German Wholesalers and Foreign Trade . After resigning as General Manager of the Federal Association of German Wholesale and Foreign Trade, Spary founded the office for association and political communication Spary Network Communication (SNC) in 2002 , which he still heads today. Since 2002 he has also been the managing director of Gütegemeinschaft Brandschutz e. V. GBA , since 2006 executive member of the Presidential Board of the Fire Protection Association . From 2008 to 2018 he was a member of the supervisory board of the consumer cooperative in Berlin and the surrounding area . Since 2012 he has been a delegate of the board of the Association of the Down and Feather Industry eV VDV and of the Presidium of the European Down and Feather Association . About his work as a lobbyist he gave in October 2014 for the satirical -show today the ZDF in which he was dubbed as the "most powerful man suspected of Germany", unexpectedly comprehensive insight.
