Career

Petra Dragičevič took part in races in the Intercontinental Cup for the first time in the 2008/2009 season. In her first winter she competed in all five competitions, was twice in the top ten and was ninth in the overall standings. At the 2009 European Junior Championships in Longiarü , however, she only came in 15th out of 17 female tobogganists. The next winter she only took part in two IC Cup races, in which a ninth place in Jesenice was her best result, and she started in the World Cup . With 18th place in Umhausen , 15th place in Latzfons and 14th place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , she has not yet achieved any top positions in the World Cup and she was only ever among the last four. In the overall World Cup, this meant 16th place out of a total of 25 female tobogganists who won World Cup points in the 2009/2010 season. At the Junior World Championships in 2010 in Nova Ponente she finished eleventh.

Petra Dragičevič did not achieve any top results in the 2010/2011 season , in which she was the only Slovenian in the World Cup. She only took part in the last three of the six World Cup races and achieved her best World Cup result to date in Unterammergau with 12th place (among 15 started tobogganers), while in Kindberg as 14th and Olang as 15th, she only finished penultimate or last place came. In the overall World Cup, she was able to improve by one place to 15th place. Also at the 2011 World Championships in Umhausen - her first title fight in the general class - she came in 17th place only on the penultimate place. Her result at the European Junior Championships 2011 in Laas was a little better . There she finished eleventh among 15 rated female tobogganists. She was also eleventh (out of 19 rated female tobogganers) at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Latsch . At the 2012 European Championships in Nowouralsk , which was held two weeks later , she was twelfth in the singles and eighth in the team competition together with the three Poles Adam Jędrzejko , Andrzej Laszczak and Damian Waniczek . In the World Cup she reached eleventh place overall in the 2011/2012 season with placings between 12th and 15th place.

In summer Petra Dragičevič also takes part in roller luge competitions. She won the Austrian Roller Luge Cup in 2006 and 2007 in the youth class and was second in the junior class from 2009 to 2012.
