history

As part of the urban expansion of Floridsdorf by the Großfeldsiedlung , the communal suburban settlement for over 20,000 residents, the parish church designed by Clemens Holzmeister was built from 1970 to 1971 at Herzmanovsky-Orlando-Gasse 16 in the east of the settlement. The solemn consecration took place on November 28, 1971 by Bishop Franz Jachym .

description

Architecturally, the church and parish center form a unit. The simple exterior of the sacred building with a moat roof indicates a functional design. The parish rooms are located to the south of this. The interior is rectangular and has a central altar position with surrounding pews. The weekday chapel is to the right of the altar area and the baptistery is opposite on the left.
