architecture

Exterior description

The church is a neo-baroque building with a free-standing steeple. The church tower stands freely northeast of the parish church on the main square. It comes from the original parish church from the 17th century and was renewed after the fire of 1764. The spire was recreated around 1912. The church tower is divided into three floors, has high round arched sound windows with balustrades. Above that are hipped gables, the church tower roof is designed as a folding roof with a lantern and an onion helmet.

The church is a hall building with a central transept and a recessed, round-arched choir . This is oriented to the southwest. There is a hipped gable roof over the nave . The entrances in the northeast and on the transept arms are presented with pillar porticos. A sacristy annex adjoins the church in the east.

Inside description

The nave is three-bay and has an additional gallery bay. The central yoke is square vaulted, the short transepts barrel vaulted . The remaining yokes as well as the choir are arched over with a basket arch barrel. The windows are designed as arched windows. A surrounding cornice runs through the interior of the church. The skylights cut into the vault. The organ loft is three-axis and two-storey and rests on pillars. In the vault there are stucco medallions with Empire motifs. The ceiling pictures are by Toni Kirchmayr from 1941.

Furnishing

The baroque high altar dates from the middle of the 18th century. The statues on the side represent Saints Joachim and Joseph of Nazareth . The altarpiece shows Saint Andrew and was painted in 1912 by Ernst Grissemann after Schöpf . The burnt model, however, comes from Johann Georg Witwer from 1792. In the church there are also four baroque side altars from the middle of the 18th century. All altars come from the old parish church of Hötting . They have carved figures from around 1912 as well as altarpieces with depictions of Saints Andrew, Antonius and Joseph. They were painted by Ernst Grissemann. To the side are baroque statuettes of Saints Thomas Aquinas , Georg , Joachim and Anna . The baroque pulpit dates from the third quarter of the 18th century. The console figures represent the weather saints John and Paul and date from the middle of the 18th century. The figures of Saints Francis and Anthony are from the second half of the 18th century.

organ

The organ by the Rieger brothers dates from 1932.
