The Plaza Synchron GmbH was a German production company for the synchronization of TV shows based in Munich .

history

The dubbing studio was founded in 1989 by Hans-Peter Kaufmann and was initially run under his film production company Plaza Media GmbH . On May 4, 1990, Plaza Synchron GmbH was founded . As a dialogue book author and director, Kaufmann was already responsible for productions such as Pan Tau or Die Märchenbraut and was a general representative in Hollywood for the Kirch Group . He specialized in the dubbing of American sitcoms , which at that time were not considered adequately transferable into German by the German television stations. The famous series Roseanne , A terribly nice family , Who's the boss here? , Lots of family , cheers , the nanny and listen who's hammering .

The studied Germanist Kaufmann wrote the German dialogue books for hundreds of series episodes . He was known for replacing people and things that were known in the USA in Germany with equivalents known here in his estimation. So found z. B.
