Personal

Aldemir grew up in Berlin . He later moved to Cottbus and studied business administration there . Aldemir now studies and lives in Vienna .

Poker career

Career

Aldemir first encountered poker on New Year's Eve 2006. He plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname Körrinho . Aldemir has been participating in renowned live tournaments since 2012 .

In mid-December 2013, Aldemir took 17th place out of almost 2000 players at the Concord Million in Vienna and won his first major prize money of 21,000 euros . The end of June 2014 was he first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successfully and reached at a tournament of the variant No-Limit Hold'em , the money ranks. In March 2015 he cashed for the first time at the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) and landed in Portomaso in 69th place for around 10,000 euros. At the 2015 WSOP , Aldemir made it into the money three times, including a. he finished 362nd in the main event . He reached a WSOP final table for the first time in the summer of 2016 and finished the Summer Solstice in second place behind Spaniard Adrián Mateos for more than $ 250,000 in prize money. Almost three weeks later, Aldemir reached the final table of the WSOP High Roller for One Drop with a buy-in of USD 111,111, finishing third behind winners Fedor Holz and Dan Smith for his previous record prize money of over two million U.S. dollar. In mid-February 2017, Aldemir won the main event of the Triton Super High Roller Series in the Philippines with a prize money equivalent to around 1.2 million US dollars. At the PokerStars Championship in Barcelona in August 2017 , Aldemir took third place in the Super High Roller for just under EUR 530,000 in prize money. In mid-January 2018, he finished third at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure main event in the Bahamas for almost $ 500,000. At the Poker Masters at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Aldemir made two money ranks in September 2018 and won prizes of over $ 900,000. At the beginning of November 2018, he sat at the final table of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe at King's Resort in Rozvadov and finished seventh for around 130,000 euros. In February 2019, Aldemir won the ninth event of the US Poker Open at the Aria Resort & Casino and secured a prize of $ 738,000. At the beginning of May 2019 he finished second at the EPT High Roller in Monte-Carlo and received more than 650,000 euros due to a deal with Benjamin Pollak .

In total, Aldemir has earned more than twelve million US dollars with poker in live tournaments , making it one of the most successful German poker players .
