Pol González (born May 24, 1992 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish ice hockey player who has been playing for the Ottawa Gee-Gees in the Far East Division of the Canadian University Championship since 2013 .

Career

Pol González began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of FC Barcelona . From there he moved to the Toronto Jr. Canadiens for the 2009/10 season. The following season he spent with the Markham Waxers in the Ontario Junior Hockey League . In the 2011/12 season, the attacker played for the OJHL team Aurora Tigers. In the following year he was initially with the Milton Icehawks also in the OJHL, but already switched to the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League during the season , where he was on the ice for the Port Colborne Pirates and the Welland Jr. Canadians. González has played in the Far East Division of the Canadian University Championship since 2013 . First he was on the ice for the Ottawa Gee-Gees, the ice hockey team at the University of Ottawa . Since 2014 he has been playing with the Concordia Stingers at Concordia University .

International

For Spain , González took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championships in Division II in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 and the U20 World Junior Championships in Division II in 2009 , 2010 and 2011 and 2012 . In addition, he played for Spain at the Winter Universiade 2015 , whose ice hockey tournament was held in Granada .

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I 2011 and the World Championships in Division II in 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 . In 2013 he was named the best player on his team. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .
