Pomez di Lorenzo

Pomez di Lorenzo (also: Pomez Di Lorenzo ), alias Stephan Baader (born January 3, 1963 ), from Dortmund is a German producer and songwriter.

Life

While still at school he began to write his own songs and make music. After graduating from high school, he studied “jazz guitar” at the Folkwanghochschule Essen from 1988 to 1992 and obtained his jazz diploma. Numerous prizes (1984 winner of "Jugend Jazzt") and performances followed.

Since 1992 he has been working with Michael Kersting on songs and albums for the clickmusic artists Sasha , Dick Brave , Ben , Der Wolf , Young Deenay , Uwe Ochsenknecht , Cosmo Klein , Q-Connection , Samy Deluxe , Andru Donalds and Thomas Gottschalk . With numerous songs he achieved gold and platinum status across Europe. Together with Michael Kersting , he received three awards as producer of the year.

The collaboration with Sasha resulted in nine chart singles in a row, three chart albums awarded with platinum or gold, Europe-wide airplay and several sold-out concerts. Further awards were two Echos, a VIVA Comet , a Bambi and the Golden Camera . Sasha also received the European Platinum Music Award for over one million albums sold in Europe.

In summer 2004 he started working with André Tolba as a producer and songwriter. In 2010 the two founded their production company "Tobago Music Production", followed in 2013 by "Tobago Records".

In May 2011 he and Cae Davis produced the single Sabado Roto by the Cuban singer and pop songwriter Addys Mercedes . Addys Mercedes 'third album "Addys" followed in January 2012. As a guitarist he also plays in Addys Mercedes' live project En Casa De Addys .

In 2012 he steered together with André Tolba a. a. the title track to Peter Kraus album "Forever in Jeans". In 2014 the album "The Real Rock 'n' Roll Chicks" by the rockabella trio The Silverettes was released on Tobago Records (distributed by Roughtrade ).

In 2014, Addys Mercedes 'fourth album "Locomotora a Cuba" (Media Luna / Indigo) was released, which was nominated for the German Record Critics' Prize. The preliminary single "Rompe el Caracol" reached number 90 in the German Airplay Charts. In 2015 the single "Nada" was released, which already reached number 133 on the airplay charts.
