Porcelana is a town in the Tarija Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Porcelana is the central place of the canton Porcelana in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Bermejo in the south-eastern part of the province Aniceto Arce . The village is located at an altitude of 371  m between the airport of Bermejo and the right bank of the Río Tarija , which forms the border with neighboring Argentina .

Porcelana is located at a distance of 217 kilometers by road southeast of Tarija , the capital of the department.

Porcelana is seven kilometers southeast of the city of Bermejo. To the south, the Ruta Nacional 50 leads from Bermejo on the Argentine side to the northern Argentine cities of Aguas Blancas and Pichanal .

From Bermejo to the northwest, the paved road Ruta 1 leads via Padcaya and Valle de Concepción (previously: Uriondo ) to the capital Tarija. The Ruta 1 traverses from there in a northerly direction the entire Bolivian Altiplano and performs on the cities Potosí , Oruro and El Alto to Desaguadero at the Peruvian border.
