The place is about 2 km southeast of Nejdek in the Bohemian Ore Mountains . The Rolava ( Rohlau ) forms its western border to Suchá ( Thierbach ). While the almost unwooded village extends to around 510 to 600 m nm , the area in the northeast to the mountain Kozí díl ( tin knock , twisted goat knock ) rises to 741 m nm .
history
The area was already settled in the late 13th century. The place name could be derived from a rocky ledge that used to function as an outbuilding for Neudek Castle . Because of his lookout, the guard was given the name "am Gibacht". Gibacht used to be parish in Neudek , where the cemetery was located. The place was mentioned for the first time in the middle of the 19th century, for example in 1847 in the description of the Elbogen district , but here as belonging to Thierbach.
In the sheet of the Franziszeischen cadastre from 1842, however, it is shown as a district of Voigtsgrün, also in 1854 in the records of the cadastral communities. At the end of the 19th century Voigtsgrün was split up and Gibacht became an independent municipality. Between 1961 and 1975 the place, now called Pozorka, belonged again to Voigtsgrün ( Fojtov ) and since January 1, 1976 to Nejdek. After the Second World War, a large part of the German population was expelled .
