Development

The nave of the French Church in Predigergasse, corner of Zeughausgasse

Predigergasse is dominated on the east side by the French Church and the police building of the city police. The west side has a uniform block development. Almost the entire development has been found to be worthy of protection. The French Church has been declared a cultural asset of national importance as an A object and is therefore under federal monument protection. The remaining buildings are of local importance.

The French Church officially bears the house number Zeughausgasse 8 and includes the house numbers Nägeligasse 1a / Predigergasse 1 + 3.

The police building at Predigergasse No. 5 was built in 1905 according to the plans of the city architect Arnold Blaser.

The houses at Predigergasse No. 4–10 (also Zeughausgasse 12–14) were planned by the architects Aduart Probst and Christian Trachser and built between 1879 and 1881.
