The principle was a German hard rock band . The band was formed in 1973 and existed until 1990.
history
The band was founded in 1973 in East Berlin . Founding members were:
- Jürgen Matko Matkowitz (* 1950) ( guitar , vocals ), formerly Renft and Uve Schikora combo
- Frank Czerny (* 1947) ( bass , vocals), formerly Bürkholz formation
- Reinhard Miehatsch ( drums ), formerly Uve Schikora Combo, was replaced in 1976 by Klaus Scharfschwerdt (drums), formerly Vulcan , later Puhdys .
The trio was completed in 1977 by
- Rainer Kirchmann (* 1952) ( keyboard , vocals), who later went to Pankow .
In 1979 Bernd Haucke (* 1950) (drums), formerly SET , later NO 55 and Modern Soul Band , replaced Scharfschwerdt.
Her second long-playing record, Der Steher , was released in 1980. The title Schlag auf Schlag met with criticism from the authorities because of its pessimistic attitude. Thereupon he was banned from broadcasting in the GDR . In the same year Kirchmann left the band and went to 4 PS . He was replaced by the singer
- Ralf "Bummi" Bursy , who previously played in the bands Regenbogen and Keks . With Bursy and the missing keyboard player, the band got rockier again. In 1982 Frank Czerny was fired because he did not get state permission to perform with the band in the west.
- Bodo Huth (bass) from Elefant joined the band. He got out a few years later and got through
- Uwe Geisler (bass) (formerly Christin D. and Smokings Rockshow ) replaced. When Bursy left the band in 1986 because of his solo career, the band expanded
- Wolfgang Franke (formerly PVC) and
- Michael Hofmann (drums). It rose shortly before its dissolution in 1990
- Michael Barakowski joins the band.
In 1974 he won the international competition of the television show around and in 1975 he won first place at the music auction in Jena . At the beginning of 1976 they appeared in front of the builders of the Druzhba route in what was then the Soviet Union .
In 1988 they completed 60 concerts in eight weeks in the USSR, although shortly before all the technology had been destroyed in a traffic accident.
Jürgen Matkowitz, the former band boss, now looks after a Moscow recording studio for heavy metal bands and tours Germany as a laser artist with the show Flames of Classic .
