The private railway magazine is a business magazine in the rail sector. It has been published by Bahn-Media Verlag , Suhlendorf , since 2007 . The magazine is aimed at decision-makers and middle management of the railway companies as well as their customers and business partners in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. However, it is also aimed at industrial railroaders, interested laypeople and the general public.

The Privatbahn Magazin is dedicated to the topics of logistics , technology , rail infrastructure , digitization and transport policy , but in contrast to other industry magazines, it places a clear focus on business issues that are specifically prepared for the railways. In terms of transport policy, the magazine takes a stand for more rail traffic.

An editorial advisory board made up of decision-makers from the rail industry and transport policy supports and accompanies the work of the editorial team. Since the end of 2019, the spokesman for the editorial board has been Martin Wischner, board member of Havelländische Eisenbahn AG , his deputy is the lawyer Dr. Stefan Buske, Bub Memminger & Partner.

Every two months, the magazine introduces railway companies from the passenger and freight transport sectors and reports on the technical, economic and scientific development of the rail transport mode . This includes interviews with decision-makers and current reports on trends in research, technology, security, economy, transport policy and logistics. The magazine informs experts about news from the rail and logistics industry and offers the general public an insight into the industry. Since October 2009, the German-language print edition of the Privatbahn Magazin has been supplemented by the digital magazine European-Rail Markets . This English-language edition is aimed at the international rail market. The PriMa European-Rail Markets is available as an e-paper ( PDF ).

Since 2017, Privatbahn Magazin has been sending the PriMa EXPRESS online information service to its subscribers as an up-to-date newsletter every two weeks .

The Privatbahn Magazin is available via the online shop of the magazine and by subscription .
