Winner of the French film award Prix Lumières in the category Best Actor ( Meilleur acteur ). The French foreign press has been giving its awards to the best film productions and filmmakers every year since 1996, retrospectively for the previous cinema year.

The most successful in this category were Mathieu Amalric and Michel Serrault , who each received two awards. The award-winning actor agreed on several occasions with the later César winner , most recently in 2019 with the awarding of the award to Alex Lutz ( Guy ).
