The RSD44 project ( also referred to as the Kapitan Ruzmankin type after the type ship ) describes a Russian inland and coastal motor ship type .
description
The ship type was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau in Odessa . Between November 2010 and April 2012 were originally at the shipyard Shipyard in Okskaya navashino total of ten units for Volga Shipping Company in Nizhny Novgorod built. For five of the ships built midship sections were of Nevsky Shipyard in Schlüsselburg delivered. The ships replaced old units of the Volga Don or Volzhskiy type.
The ships are designed for use on Russian inland waters and in coastal waters. They are approved for the Gulf of Finland , the Sea of Azov , the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea . The dimensions of the ships allow the passage of the Volga-Don Canal . They are built very flat, the total height of the ships is only 8.2 meters without masts. To be able to pass bridges, the masts can be folded down. The low height of the ships allows the bridges over the Neva and the Rostov Railway Bridge in Rostov-on-Don to pass without opening them. The ship's wheelhouse is located in the bow area. The cabins of the crew members , common rooms, storage, engine room and other rooms are located in the stern area. This concept allows the ships to be built very flat - the wheelhouse and deckhouse protrude only a little beyond the hatch coaming and hatch cover. The hull of the ships is reinforced with ice .
The ships have two holds . The holds are closed with piggy-back hatch covers that can be moved with the help of winches . Load space 1 is 37.80 meters long, load space 2 is 49.80 meters long. The rooms are 13.20 meters wide and 6.22 meters high. The capacity of the rooms is 7,086 m³. The ships can load 140 TEU in the holds .
The vessels are of two Wärtsilä - diesel engines (type: 6L20) each with 1,200 kW power driven. The motors act on two Schottel rudder propellers . The ships can thus reach a speed of 12 knots . The ships are equipped with a bow thruster with 120 kW power.
Two generators are available for power generation, each driven by a Volvo Penta diesel engine (type: D9 MG KC) with an output of 184 kW. An emergency generator was also installed, which is driven by a Volvo Penta diesel engine (type: D5AT) with an output of 62 kW.
The ships are driven by eight to nine crew members who are accommodated in two single and seven double cabins. There is space on board for a total of 16 crew members. The range of the ships is around 2400 nautical miles .
