Celebrities cradle
The celebrity weighing (also celebrity weighing ) was a spectacle on the Munich Viktualienmarkt .
Every year from 1974 to 2010, originally on the first Thursday after the Oktoberfest , the vendors of the Viktualienmarkt balanced Munich celebrities with food in favor of a social cause and donated a sum of money. The food and donation went to institutions that were requested by the respective celebrity.
The tradition ended in 2010 after it was revealed that parts of the committed donations had not been paid out for several years.
