Karl Obermayr

Karl Obermayr (born April 4, 1931 in Freising ; † June 3, 1985 in Heidelberg ) was a German actor and Bavarian folk actor .

Life

Karl Obermayr was best known for his involvement in numerous television series of the Bavarian radio , including Der Komödienstadel , Meister Eder and his Pumuckl as host and royal Bavarian district court . He celebrated his greatest success in 1983 with his role as detective Manni Kopfeck at the side of Helmut Fischer in Helmut Dietl's cult series Monaco Franze - The Eternal Stenz . His appearance as a depressive host in the Munich stories is also legendary ("And then lock 'ma' again and then lock 'ma' again ..."). He was also in contact with Meister Eder and his Pumuckl long before the television series. In the radio plays he spoke a. a. several customers, the geography teacher and a polluter. He was also heard in the LP and MC radio plays with completely different speakers and less dialect, for example as a car driver, as a landlord or Eder's regulars.

Shortly after filming the television series Kir Royal , in which he played a pastor at a funeral, ended, Obermayr died of a brain tumor at the age of 54 . Until recently he had worked on The Grandauers and their time , the radio play version of the television series Löwengrube . In his honor, the main character in the television series of the same name with Jörg Hube was renamed "Karl Grandauer".

His grave is in the forest cemetery in Freising .
