Promise is the second album by the English singer Sade . It was released in November 1985.

After a slow start, the album became a great success in many European countries and in the USA. After the debut album Diamond Life climbed to number two on the British album charts, Promise reached number 1 in Great Britain , Switzerland and the USA - also thanks to an appearance on Live Aid .

As singles are The Sweetest Taboo , Is It a Crime and Never as Good as the First Time decoupled.
