The parish village of Prunn is part of the town of Riedenburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim .
geography
Prunn is located about three and a half kilometers south-southeast of Riedenburg and is at an altitude of 361 m above sea level. NHN . The village is located in the south-eastern part of the Altmühltal , on the northern bank of the Altmühl , which also forms a section of the Main-Danube Canal here.
history
Due to the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century, the place became an independent rural community, to which the villages of Einthal , Emmerthal , Nusshausen , Pillhausen and Schloßprunn also belonged. In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the entire municipality of Prunn was incorporated into the city of Riedenburg in 1978. At the end of the 1980s Prunn had 195 inhabitants.
traffic
The connection to the public road network is mainly via the St 2230 , which passes directly to the south-west of the local edge . The district road KEH 16 leads from Prunn in a north-easterly direction to the neighboring town of Baiersdorf , which is also part of the town of Riedenburg and which is already on the high plateau of the Tangrintel .
