history
Przywor was first mentioned in 1531 as Przywory . In 1829 the place had 185 inhabitants. In 1845 the Opole - Kandrzin railway line was built near Przywor .
In 1900 there were 458 inhabitants. In 1912 the Przywor (Polish: Przywory Opolskie ) station opened. In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 75 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 248 for Poland. The Opole constituency had voted for Germany by a majority, which is why Przywor remained with the German Empire. In 1936 Przywor was renamed Odertal OS and in 1937 again into Oderfest . In 1939 Oderfest had 847 inhabitants.
In 1945 Oderfest, which had previously belonged to the Opole district , came under Polish administration, was renamed Przywory and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place became part of the Opole Voivodeship and in 1999 the Powiat Opolski .
On February 15, 2007, German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality. On April 14, 2008, the place received the additional official German place name Przywor .
