The Puezhütte ( Italian Rifugio Puez , Ladin Ütia de Puez ) is a refuge in the Dolomites .
Location and surroundings
The Puezhütte is located in the municipality of Selva di Val Gardena in South Tyrol , Italy . It is located at an altitude of 2,475 m at the foot of the Puezkofel above the Langental , a side valley of Val Gardena , in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park .
The hut serves as a base for climbing tours and hikes in the surrounding Puez group . The easiest way to reach it is through the Vallunga, which runs up from Wolkenstein in a north-easterly direction. To the west it is possible to cross over to the Regensburger Hütte via the Sielesscharte ( Furcela Forces de Siëles ) and to reach the Geisler group via the Nives- and Roa-Scharte . On the way north you reach the Antersasc Alm in a side valley of Campill . In a southerly direction you come to the Ciampëi-Scharte, from which you can descend to Corvara or reach the Gardenazza high plateau with the Lech de Crespëina . To the east, several paths lead to Abbey in Val Badia .
history
The Ladinia section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club (DuÖAV) built a very small hut from 1887 to 1889, which was named after the surrounding alpine pasture. In 1910 an expansion took place. After the First World War , the hut was expropriated by the Italian state and handed over to the Bolzano section of the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) in 1924 , which renovated it and put it back into operation in 1934. At the beginning of the 1980s a new building was erected a few meters northwest of the old hut, the inauguration of which was celebrated on August 8, 1982.
