The Regensburger Hütte ( Italian Rifugio Firenze in Cisles , Ladin Utia de Ncisles ) is an Alpine Club hut on the Cislesalm in Val Gardena in the South Tyrolean Dolomites . The alpine pasture in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park serves as a starting point for hikes and climbing tours in the Geisler and Puez groups .

Names

The German and Italian names of the hut, which are common today, refer to the section of the Alpine Club that was originally or is responsible today.

history

The Regensburger Hütte was built in 1888/1889 by the Regensburg section of the German Alpine Club (DAV). It was the first Alpine Club hut in Val Gardena . The hut was planned by the architect Max Schultze , Fürstl. Thurn and Taxis senior building officer from Regensburg. He bore the costs for the construction, since the Regensburg section lacked the financial means for the construction. In 1906 the builder and owner handed the hut over to the section. In 1921 it was confiscated by Italy as a result of the First World War. As a result, the New Regensburger Hut was built in 1930 by the Regensburg Section in the Stubai Alps .

The old Regensburger Hütte ultimately fell to the CAI - Florence Section , which then operated it under a new name (Rifugio Firenze). In 1980 the hut was last renovated and rebuilt.

Together with 24 other shelters expropriated by the state, the Regensburger Hütte became the property of the Autonomous Province of Bozen - South Tyrol in 1999; At the end of 2010, the license for their management by the CAI expired. Since 2015, the state of South Tyrol has been supported in the management of the hut (assignment to tenants, supervision of management, renovation measures) by a joint commission, in which the AVS and CAI are represented in addition to the public sector .
