Pulaski is a village in Oswego County in the US state of New York in the northeastern United States . It is the seat of the county next to Oswego .
geography
Pulaski is on the Salmon River . The Highway 11 runs through the village. Pulaski is part of the Snow Belt of the Five Great Lakes . Lake Ontario is three miles to the west . The Interstate Highway I-81 on the east side Pulaski over. The closest cities are Syracuse and Watertown .
history
The village was founded in 1832. Pulaski was named after Kazimierz Pułaski (1746–1779), who came from Poland and was a member of the Confederation of Bar and Commander in the American War of Independence .
In the United States Census of 2010, Pulaski had 2365 residents.
Public facilities
The Salmon River Fine Arts Center is located in Pulaski. With the John Ben Snow Community Complex, the village has a leisure facility with sports facilities. The village has two parks, North Park and South Park. With the Lura Sharp Elementary School and the Middle-Senior High School, Pulaski has two schools.

Pulaski is home to members of several Christian faiths, including Seventh-day Adventists , members of the Assemblies of God , Methodist and Wesleyan Churches , the Episcopal Church of the United States of America, and the Roman Catholic Church . The Baptists are represented by three congregations.
economy
An important economic factor in Pulaski is tourism, especially through sport fishing in Lake Ontario. The Salmon River Festival takes place in autumn. Winter tourism grows with snowmobile trips. Pulaski is connected to a regional network of snowmobile routes. The German Felix Schoeller Group , a manufacturer of specialty paper, has a plant in Pulaski.
