The Río Guendá (also: Río Güendá ) is a river in the lowlands of the South American Andean state Bolivia .

The Río Guendá has a total length of 99 kilometers, it rises as Río Espejillos on the eastern edge of the Amboró National Park in the Espejillos Lomas , a hill country in the eastern suburbs of Bolivia. The entire course of the river lies in the department of Santa Cruz , its source is in the southern part of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Porongo in the province of Andrés Ibáñez , from there it flows into the municipality of Portachuelo in the province of Sara and there flows into the Río Piraí , about ten Kilometers southwest of the city of Montero .

The upper reaches of the Río Guendá, the Río Espejillos , is a popular destination for the Cruceños, the inhabitants of the metropolitan region of Santa Cruz . The river has formed a rugged landscape here with small ravines through which it flows in a sequence of natural pools with small and large waterfalls, the highest of which reaches a height of 20 meters. The " Área Protegida Departamental Monumento Natural Espejillos " can be reached via the Ruta 7 highway , which leads from Santa Cruz in a south-westerly direction to San José ; there you cross the Río Piraí and follow the dirt and gravel road for another 16 km in a westerly direction.

In its further course the Río Espejillos unites with the Río Los Negros and the water-rich Río Las Conchas to the Río Guendá , which has a width of 500 meters at its mouth.
