The Roman armed forces in Noricum ( Latin exercitus Noricus ) consisted of the legions and auxiliary troops stationed in the Roman province of Noricum .

Tacitus states in his Historiae (Book III, Chapter 5) that the exercitus Noricus in AD 69 consisted of an Ala and 8 cohorts .
