Röthenbach bei Altdorf (officially Röthenbach b.Altdorf ) is a district of the town of Altdorf in the district of Nürnberger Land , Middle Franconia .

geography

The village of Röthenbach is located in a wooded area with the Winkelhaid state forest in the north and the Röthenbach forest in the south. The Röthenbach, which gives it its name, flows through the village with the worth seeing Röthenbachklamm nearby.

history

With the community edict (1808) Röthenbach became a politically independent community, to which Oberwellitzleithen and Unterwellitzleithen belonged. On January 1, 1978, this was incorporated into Altdorf as part of the Bavarian regional reform .
