Wappeltshofen is a district of the town of Altdorf near Nuremberg in the district of Nürnberger Land in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is right on the border with Upper Palatinate on the LAU 23 district road between Eismannsberg and Traunfeld . In the north of Wappeltshofen the federal motorway 6 runs and in the south the Traunfelder Bach, which runs through a wooded valley. In the northeast is the place Dippersricht , about two kilometers south of the district road NM 9 . Around 50 agricultural buildings, houses and a cardboard box factory are grouped in the midst of fields, forests and meadows .

history

With the community edict (1808) Wappeltshofen belonged to the politically independent community Eismannsberg . On January 1, 1972, this was incorporated into Altdorf as part of the Bavarian regional reform .
