Rəsul İbrahimov

Rəsul İbrahimov Məmmədiyyə oğlu (at the World Chess Federation FIDE Rasul Ibrahimov ; born August 13, 1981 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani chess player and coach. He is the trainer of the Azerbaijani women's national team and second to Şəhriyar Məmmədyarov .

Playing for the Azerbaijani national team, he took part in the European Team Championships in 1999, 2001 and 2003, as well as in the Chess Olympiads in 2002 and 2004 . He played club chess in Azerbaijan (for veterans ), Iran (team champions 2005 and 2006 with Tidewater Hormozgan ) and Turkey (together with Mircea Pârligras for Antalya Deniz Gençlik Spor Kulübü ).

He received the title of International Master in 2000 and has been Grand Master since August 2005. He achieved the standards for his GM title in February 2003 at the Open Valle d'Aosta in Saint-Vincent , at a tournament in Alushta in June 2004 and at Dubai Open in April 2005. His rating is 2527 (as of September 2014), but he is listed as inactive because he has not played a rated game since a tournament that was held in Suvorov in June 2012 . Its highest to date was 2568 from October 2008 to March 2009.
