Ülvi Bacarani (at the World Chess Federation FIDE Ulvi Bajarani ; born January 27, 1995 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani chess player .

Life

Ülvi Bacarani's father, İlqar Bacarani , is a chess referee and international champion . His aunt Kübra Bacarani, his father's younger sister, holds the title of FIDE Women's Champion (WFM). Ülvi studied pharmacy at the Azerbaijan Medical University .

successes

At European Youth Championships he received three medals: in 2005 (U10) in Herceg Novi he was second behind Konstantin Nikologorski for which he received the title of FIDE Champion (FM), in 2006 (U12) third in Herceg Novi and in 2007 (U12) in Šibenik behind Illja Nyschnyk second again. At the 2005 World Youth Championship (U10) in Belfort , he was third. He played for the Azerbaijani national team at the U16 Chess Olympiads in 2009 in Akhisar on the top board and in 2011 in the province of Kocaeli on the second board. At the 2016 Chess Olympiad in Baku he played for the second team of Azerbaijan.

He won the Azerbaijani individual championship in 2012 and 2014 (before Nicat Abbasov ) in Baku.

He played club chess in Azerbaijan for Sumqayıt and the Odlar Yurdu University, with which he participated in the European Club Cups in 2014 and 2015. He played in the Turkish top league in 2015.

Ülvi Bacarani put together the standards for the title of International Master in June 2009. He achieved it at the 17th Abu Dhabi Masters in August 2007, at the 25th Open in Cappelle-la-Grande in March 2009 and with overachievement at the Master Open in Voronezh in June 2009, in which he beat grandmasters Pawel Smirnow and Vitali, among others Zeschowski won. Bacarani had reached the required Elo rating of 2400 to obtain the title in May 2010. He had achieved the necessary standards for obtaining the title of chess grandmaster in December 2011, with standards at the A2 tournament of the Aeroflot Open in Moscow in February 2010, at a GM tournament from the World Chess Tour - NON-STOP series in December 2010 in Moscow and at the 2nd international chess festival in December 2011 in Baku. However, he did not reach the Elo rating of 2500 required for the title until November 2013.
