Radegundis Church

Radegundiskirche or Church of St. Radegund is a name of churches , chapels and monastery churches that are under the patronage of St. Radegund of Thuringia , the patron saint of weavers and potters. Remembrance day is August 13th every year .

After her canonization in the 9th century , about 150 churches were consecrated in France; later also in England, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Canada and the Congo. In Central Germany , her homeland, there were only three churches or chapels with the patronage of St. Radegundis. The main church is the abbey church of Sainte-Croix de Poitiers , France, her burial place .
