Radovan Vlajković

Radovan Vlajković (born November 18, 1922 in Buđanovci near Ruma ; † November 12, 2001 ) was a Yugoslav politician of the Union of Communists of Yugoslavia (BdKJ) .

biography

Vlajković was initially between 1963 and 1967 President of the People's Assembly of the Socialist Autonomous Province (SAP) Vojvodina . From 1974 to 1981 he was Chairman of the Vojvodina Presidium and thus President of the Republic.

In 1981 he became a member of the Presidium of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) as the successor to Stevan Doronjski and was a member of this body until 1989.

From May 15, 1985 to May 15, 1986, as Chairman of the Presidium, he was nominally President of the SFRY. Sinan Hasani succeeded him in this office .
