Rainer Keller (General)

Rainer Keller (born August 24, 1954 in Trier ) is a retired German Brigadier General . D. the Air Force . In his last employment he was deputy commanding officer of the Air Force Support Units Command.

Life

Rainer Keller joined the Air Force in 1973 and completed his basic training with the 13th Company of the Air Force Training Regiment (LwAusbRgt) 4 in Ulmen . In this unit he was also used as a group leader until 1975 before he completed his officer course. 1976-1979 by the fact that included study of pedagogy at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich on. After successfully completing his studies, he was first employed as a platoon leader for the air base squadron in Neubiberg and then from 1983 as a lecture hall director at the Air Force Technical College in Iserlohn . In 1986 he took over the 7th Company of LwAusbRgt 2 in Budel in the Netherlands as a company commander .

After the general staff course at the command academy of the German armed forces in Hamburg, these troop deployments were followed by a position as a department head of the 3rd Air Force Division and a post as a consultant in the command staff of the Air Force . 1995 to 1998 followed with command of the III. Battalion of the LwAusbRgt 1 in Heide again deployed in the troops. After serving as a department head in the Air Force Support Command and as a department head in the Bundeswehr Personnel Office , Keller returned to the Federal Ministry of Defense , initially as Head of Personnel Affairs in 2002 and then from 2006 as Head of Department I in the Air Force Command Staff.

On July 1, 2011, command of the Air Force Training Command was handed over from Brigadier General Gerd Bischof to Keller. As part of the restructuring of the Bundeswehr, the Air Force Training Command was dissolved with effect from June 30, 2013. On July 1, 2013, Keller was appointed Deputy Commander and Commander of Basic Military Organizations in the Air Force Support Units Command .

Since the dissolution of the support organizations command, Brigadier Keller has been employed in the Luftwaffe command, among other things, as a representative for the introduction of the soldiers' working time regulation. On August 31, 2016, Keller retired.

Rainer Keller is married and has three children.
