Rajmond Debevec (born March 29, 1963 in Postojna ) is a Slovenian sports shooter . He has taken part in eight Olympic Games so far , making him one of the athletes with the most Olympic participations . He won a total of three medals.

Rajmond Debevec from SD Olimpija started shooting at the age of eight in 1971. He can look back on a long Olympic career. For the first time he appeared in Los Angeles at the 1984 Olympic Games for Yugoslavia and was 12th with the air rifle and 20th in the three-position fight with the small bore rifle . In 1988 Debevec finished 25th with the air rifle in Seoul . Since the 1992 games in Barcelona , he played for Slovenia. With the air rifle he was ninth and thus missed the final by one place, in the three-position fight he reached the final and was sixth, in the prone competition with the small-bore rifle the Slovenian reached 18th place. In the following games he always competed in the three disciplines. In 1996 in Atlanta he reached the final with the air rifle and was sixth, in the two small-caliber competitions Debevec again missed the finals by one place in ninth place. The most successful games for Debevec were the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , where he won the gold medal in the three-position competition. With the air rifle, the Slovenian missed the final by one place in ninth place, while lying down he reached 19th place.

At the 2004 Games in Athens , Debevec just missed a medal in fourth place in the three-position competition, the competition with the air rifle, in which he was 19th, was less successful. In the prone position, the Slovenian once again reached ninth place. With 31st place with the air rifle and 21st in prone shooting, Debevec could not build on earlier successes at the 2008 Games in Beijing , but then won the bronze medal in the three-position battle behind Qiu Jian and Jurij Suchorukow . He benefited from a miss in the lead by US American Matthew Emmons in the last shot, which dropped to fourth behind Debevec.

The athlete who lives in Skofljica set on August 29, 1992 with 1186 points in the qualification and 1287.9 ​​points in the final, a world record that is still valid today in the three-position competition and improved the 2000 Olympic record in Sydney.
