Raphael von Bargen

Raphael von Bargen (born March 22, 1977 in Hamburg ) is a German actor .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hamburg, Raphael von Bargen first studied musicology and philosophy. In 2002 he finished his acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna . During his studies he played the role of Alexander Zemlinsky in Alma by director Paulus Manker , and also as Puck in a Midsummer Night's Dream in a production by Stephanie Mohr . Under her direction, he also played in attacks on Anne in the play bar of the Vienna Volkstheater and Gottschalk in Käthchen von Heilbronn at the Klagenfurt City Theater .

Vienna Burgtheater

From 2002 to 2006 he was a member of the ensemble of the Vienna Burgtheater , where he appeared on stage in The Measure of Things , The Entertainer , Schutt and Mozart Werke Ges.mbH . In the seasons 2006/07 to 2009/10 he was a member of the Vienna Volkstheater ensemble. There he played the title roles in Clavigo and Peer Gynt as well as the role of Tom in Dogville , Cliff in Cabaret and Alex in On the Beach of the Wide World .

At the Reichenau Festival in 2010 he took part in the world premiere of Daniel Kehlmann's stage adaptation of Ruhm and in 2011 in Spion Oberst Redl as Gyula Freiherr von Unguary.

Theater in the Josefstadt

Since the 2015/16 season he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Theater in der Josefstadt , where he had previously appeared in Ein Klotz am Bein as Fernand Bois d'Enghien, in Hedda Gabler and Speed from 2011 . In September 2016 he played the role of the stranger in the world premiere of Ödön von Horváth's drama Nobody . In November 2016 he premiered as Hauptsturmführer Wolf von Aschenbach with the play Die Verdammten, based on the film of the same name by Luchino Visconti. In 2016 he played the role of Baron von Gaigern in the stage version of Menschen im Hotel at the Wiener Kammerspiele . In the faith and home of Karl Schönherr , he will play the role of Christoph Rott alongside Silvia Meisterle as Rottin in Josefstadt in 2019 .

Movie and TV

In the 2018 Universum History episode, The Emperor's Treason , he played the role of Count Tamás Erdödy , the adjutant and childhood friend of Emperor Karl I of Austria . In the universe history episode Richard the Lionheart : A King in a Trap with Philipp Hochmair in the title role, he took over the role of Baldwin von Bethune . Since 2019 he has played the role of Moritz Schlägel in the television series Die Toten vom Bodensee , Kim Oberländer's partner, who died in a car accident in which Schlägel was at the wheel.
