Reckless (English for: " Ruthless ") is the fourth studio album by Canadian rock singer Bryan Adams , which was released in November 1984. It is still one of his most successful albums and gave Adams the big breakthrough. It also contains one of his most popular songs, Summer of '69 . Kids Wanna Rock, on the other hand, is one of the most popular songs and is the rockiest and heaviest as well as the fastest played number. The LP also contains the most and longest solos.

background

In June 1983 Bryan Adams recorded the song Heaven , which first appeared on the soundtrack to the film A Night in Heaven that year. Both Adams and producer Jimmy Iovine were initially against releasing the song on Reckless because it didn't seem to fit musically into the concept. Adams himself changed his mind at the last moment.

He recorded the remaining songs on the album after the tour for the album Cuts Like a Knife from March to August 1984. Adams composed all songs from the album Reckless with Jim Vallance . More than 13 million copies of the album have been sold to date. The songs on the album are still very popular today. For example, in 1993, on the 14-song compilation So Far So Good, six of the ten songs from Reckless appear on this compilation.
