location

The hamlet lies between Böhming in the north and Arnsberg in the south at the foot of the western slope of the Altmühltal. It can be reached from State Road 2230 through a bridge over the Altmühl , which was rebuilt in 1998/99.

history

In pre-Roman times, the Gaimersheim - Kinding road came north of the hamlet from Arnsberg and rose steeply to the Alb plateau. The hamlet was first mentioned in 1447 as "Regenhartsbrunn". It consists of two properties. Immediately behind this rises a strong spring in a small quarry, the water of which flows into the Altmühl. In the times of the Hochstifts the hamlet belonged to the Kipfenberg maintenance and caste department and around 1800 consisted of a mill with a flax rammer and a fisherman's house, first mentioned in 1626. The mill on the lower-lying property often changed hands, the last millers were the Dinauer. In 1904–06 the spring pot was dug out 4 m deep and the spring was held in order to supply the Kipfenberg, three kilometers away, with drinking water; the surface water continued to reach the Altmühl above ground. The pipeline crossed the Altmühl under an iron footbridge that was built at the same time. With the Altmühl regulation in the 1920s, the footbridge was replaced by a wide iron bridge, which was blown up shortly before the end of the Second World War . In the post-war years, Kipfenberg's drinking water supply was managed elsewhere.

The second property has owned the fishing rights since time immemorial. This farm also changed hands frequently in the past.

Regelmannsbrunn belonged politically, ecclesiastically and academically to Böhming and was reclassified with Böhming during the territorial reform on April 1, 1971 to Kipfenberg.
