book

Buch is a district of the Kipfenberg market in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt .

location

The place is located south or east of the Altmühltal and northeast of the Kipfenberg municipal seat on the plateau of the southern Franconian Jura in the Altmühltal Nature Park . Neighboring towns are Irlahüll and Gelbelsee .

history

Whether the location Buch mentioned in 1186 is identical to the book near Irlahüll cannot be clearly established. In 1398 the bishop of Eichstätt Friedrich IV von Schweiger von Gundelfingen acquired farms in Buch (near Irlahüll?). In 1403 Kraft Morsbacher owned it here . In 1561, the Eichstatt Bishop Martin von Schaumberg bought the Bucher tithe from Wilhelm and Hanns Christoph von Hilkenhausen .

Until the secularization book belonged with his 17 yards to the lower Bishopric of Eichstätt and therein for Pfleg- and box office Kipfenberg; a Köblergut belonged to the Wolfstein caste office in Sulzbürg . Three goods were subject to the Töging judicial office . Ecclesiastically the place belonged to the then curate beneficion (today parish) Irlahüll of the parish Irfersdorf.

During the secularization, the lower bishopric and with it book came to Grand Duke Archduke Ferdinand III in 1802 . from Tuscany and 1806 to the Kingdom of Bavaria . There the village belonged to the Kipfenberg district court .

In 1808, Buch formed the Gelbelsee tax district together with Gelbelsee and Irlahüll . In 1818 the places became independent communities again. In 1830 Buch had 96 residents in 18 properties, in 1861 114 residents and 40 buildings, and in 1950 95 in 19 properties.

In the course of the Bavarian regional reform on April 1, 1971 , Buch joined the Kipfenberg market in the district office, which later belonged to the Eichstätt district in Central Franconia . On July 1, 1972, as part of the district reform, the change from Middle Franconia to Upper Bavaria took place . In 1983 there were 122 inhabitants in the village who worked in agriculture and in two craft businesses. The population has risen to 169 to the present day.
