history

In 1806 the Kipfenberg district court was established in the course of the administrative reorganization of Bavaria . This came to the Altmühlkreis founded in 1808 . When it was dissolved in 1810, it was assigned to the Upper Danube District, 1817 to the Rain District and 1838 to Middle Franconia . From 1817 to 1833 Kipfenberg was a rulership .

The district court of Kipfenberg was originally 4.63 square miles and had 8,645 inhabitants in 1846 (1856: 8,786 inhabitants, of which 8,772 Catholics, 14 Protestants). There were 52 places (1 market , 16 Pfarr villages , 15 Kirchdörfer , 3 villages , 4 Weiler and 8 wastes ) and 33 Towns (2 market towns and rural communities 31).

On October 1, 1857, a restructuring came into force, which should shorten the distances from the individual locations to the official locations:

In 1862 the municipalities of Hitzhofen (with Baumfeld ), Lippertshofen and Oberzell (with Mühlthal ) from the Eichstätt district court were added.

From 1862 the Kipfenberg district court was only responsible for jurisdiction. The administration was taken over by the newly created Eichstätt District Office . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the Kipfenberg District Court was established.
