history
In 1806, the Beilngries district court was established in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria . This came to the Altmühlkreis founded in 1808 . When it was dissolved in 1810, it was assigned to the Upper Danube District, 1817 to the Rain District and 1838 to Middle Franconia .
The district court Beilngries was originally 6.5 square miles and had 15,543 inhabitants in 1846 (1856: 15,760 inhabitants, of which 15,074 Catholics, 661 Protestants and 25 Jews). There were 133 localities: 2 cities , 22 parish villages , 29 church villages , 18 villages , 22 hamlets and 40 wastelands . There were a total of 55 municipalities: 2 Magistrates III. Class and 53 rural parishes. Before 1856 the communities Hermannsberg (with Riedhof), Oberndorf, Vogelthal (with Krögling) came into being, so that there were a total of 58 communities.
On October 1, 1857, a restructuring came into force, which should shorten the distances from the individual locations to the official locations:
- The municipalities of Herrnsberg, Kaising, Kleinnottersdorf, Landerzhofen, Obermässing, Oesterberg, Röckenhofen were handed over to the district court of Greding ;
- the communities of Bitz and Dörndorf were handed over to the Kipfenberg district court ;
- the community of Hirschberg was added by the Kipfenberg district court .
Schmellnricht became part of the Lauterbach community in 1857.
From 1862 the Beilngries regional court was only responsible for the jurisdiction. The administration was taken over by the newly created Beilngries district office . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the district court of Beilngries was established, the district of which was formed from the district of the district court of Beilngries, which was also repealed.
