Hennenberg is a district of the city of Berching .
history
On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Wattenberg was incorporated with the church village of Hennenberg and the hamlet of Roßthal .
St. Hippolytus
St. Hippolytus is a branch church of the parish Waltersberg in the deanery Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate . It is a hall church with a polygonal choir with a turret, which was built before 1424. Another church consecration took place on June 28, 1726. The cemetery wall probably dates from the 17th century. In 1940 the church tower was demolished because it was in disrepair. On August 24, 2012, a new wooden church tower was erected.
In the vicinity of the church there is a ground monument with finds from the Middle Ages and early modern times.
