The Reichertsgraben is a left tributary of the Erlbach near Spalt in the central Franconian districts of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen and Roth .

geography

course

The Reichertsgraben is created at a height of 402  m above sea level. NN east-northeast of Kalbensteinberg and north-northwest of Fünfbronn from the confluence of left Offenbrunngraben and right Aschenschlaggraben ; the higher source of the Offenbrunngraben lies at about 486  m above sea level. NN . The combined stream flows steadily in a forest valley in a north-easterly direction through the Spalter hill country . The Reichertsgraben opens at an altitude of 371  m above sea level. NN west of Hohenrad from the left into the Erlbach.

Catchment area

The Reichertsgraben drains about 4.0 km². Its longest watershed lies in the open elevation on the south side of the catchment area, on the other side of it the Hatzelbach , which flows into the Franconian Rezat at Spalt, competes for a short time , then the Gänsbach , and finally the Igelsbach , both tributaries of the Igelsbachsee . At the south-west corner, the area is over 510  m above sea level. NN , the subsequent western watershed in front of the Schwadergraben runs through Kalbensteinberg and again reaches over 510  m above sea level at the northwest corner on the Melm . NN , in front of the steep slope of the terrain into the Erlbach valley, in front of which the left mouth spur now drops down to the influence in the Erlbach. The eastern border runs from this almost exclusively through forest area to the open summit of the Reichelsberg ( 497  m above sea level ) and then connects again to the threshold at the southern edge at Fünfbronn.

The higher parts of the catchment area are in open, mostly plowed, corridors; the greater part of the course of Offenbrunngraben, the entire course of the Aschenschlaggraben and, apart from the short section in the Erlbachaue, also the name course of the Reichertsgraben run through the forest. Apart from the district road WUG 21, which runs very precisely on the threshold at the southern edge, as well as the local roads in Kalbensteinberg, the area separated by the deepened runs is free of public roads.
