Reinhard Hellmann (director)
Reinhard Hellmann (born January 16, 1945 ) is a German actor , director , artistic director and radio play speaker .
Life
Although Reinhard Hellmann already had successes as an actor at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin , as well as in film, radio and television, in 1975 he began a four-year course at the newly founded Institute for Drama Directing. He received his first engagement as a director at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam , which was followed by several more at various theaters. From 1988 he was senior director at the Friedrich-Wolf-Theater Neustrelitz . From 1996 to 1998 he was director at the German-Sorbian People's Theater in Bautzen . As a teacher for drama students he worked at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and at the University of Music and Theater Rostock .
Reinhard Hellmann is married to Katrin S. Geppert-Hellmann. From his previous relationship with actress Heidrun Perdelwitz, he has a daughter, Wanda Perdelwitz , who has also taken up the profession of actress.
