Reinhard Jacob (born February 20, 1951 in Steinach (Thuringia) ) is a German sculptor and medalist . His sculptural works in public spaces can be found in numerous places in Berlin and other cities.

Life

Inspired by the Thuringian sculptor Werner Stötzer Reinhard Jacob began studying at the 1969 Art Academy Berlin-Weissensee , specializing in plastic . His teachers were Eberhard Bachmann and Karl-Heinz Schamal . After successfully completing his studies, he worked as an assistant at the university in 1977/78, then freelance in Berlin.

Reinhard Jacob was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR . In 1982 and 1987 he was represented with sculptural works at the art exhibition of the GDR .

In 1999 he and his wife Hannelore Teutsch founded the PAN Atelier für Gestaltung, where he designs figures, designs memorial plaques and carries out elaborate artistic restorations . He lives and works with his wife in Zepernick .
