René Toussaint (actor)
René Toussaint (born April 3, 1958 in Bonn ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .
Life
After graduating from the Helmholtz-Gymnasium in Bonn , René Toussaint studied philosophy and physics at the University of Cologne . Only then did he turn to acting and graduated from the Keller drama school , also in Cologne. Under directors such as Ruth Berghaus , Peter Eschberg , Hans Hollmann and Wolfgang Spier , Toussaint had engagements at the Saarland State Theater , the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe , the Schauspiel Frankfurt , the Komödie im Bayerischer Hof , the Schlosstheater Moersand in the Cologne Theater am Dom . In his hometown he played at the Contra-Kreis-Theater and at the drama .
From the mid-1990s through the early 2010s, Toussaint was a busy serial actor on television. In addition to guest appearances in Tatort , Wilsberg or SK Kölsch , he played in all episodes of the series Westerdeich and in several episodes of the city clinic . Toussaint achieved great popularity in particular through the role of Mathes Krings in the WDR production Die Anrheiner . Between 1998 and 2011 he played this character in over 600 episodes until his film death.
In addition, René Toussaint occasionally works as a radio play speaker.
