Rengersfeld is a district of the city of Gersfeld (Rhön) in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda .

The village is located south of Gersfeld in the Rhön Biosphere Reserve . Federal highway 279 runs east of the village .

Rengersfeld was first mentioned in a document in 1500.

On December 31, 1970, the previously independent municipality Renger field was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse in the city Gersfeld incorporated for the district Renger field, as for the other eingemeindeten formerly independent municipalities, a local district with the town council and mayor after the Hessian municipal code set.
